Biomedical research increasingly requires the application of data science methods. This data scientist will become a member of the Research Informatics and Data Science team and will work on a variety of research projects that inform and improve care.   • Compile community data resources and national de-identified data resources and assemble into topic-focused data marts for subsequent analysis.
  • Conduct data quality evaluations and inform a process for data intake, processing, and documentation.
  • Engage curiosity and contribute to the analysis and interpretation of data, using machine learning methods and other data science techniques.
  • Participate as an active member of the scientific community at Children's Mercy through publication, continuous learning and communication of findings.
  • Participate in the education mission of the organization.
  • Ph.D. and 1-2 years experience in healthcare data and/or data science related roles.
  • Master's Degree and 3-5 years experience in healthcare data and/or data science related roles.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years experience in healthcare data and/or data science related roles.
  • Market competitive pay starting at $48.12/hr.
