About The Position
PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Data Scientist in San Jose, CA. The role involves leading, building, and implementing analytics functions for Honey features, conducting impactful data analysis to improve customer experiences and inform product development. The candidate will leverage the Objective and Key Results (OKR) framework to identify product metrics and monitor product performance through dashboards and ad hoc analysis. Collaboration with cross-functional support teams is essential to build world-class products and design hypothesis-driven experiments. The position requires making clear and holistic recommendations based on test results, gathering and collating business performance and metrics to recommend improvements, automation, and data science directives for overall business performance. The candidate will present findings and recommendations to senior level/non-technical stakeholders, maintain large datasets by performing batch scheduling and pipelining ETL operations, and perform ad-hoc exploratory analysis on datasets to generate insights and automate production-ready solutions. Additionally, the role involves developing machine learning-based models to improve forecasting and predictive analytics, implementing innovative quantitative analyses, testing new data wrangling techniques, and experimenting with new visualization tools to deliver scalable analytics. The candidate will also develop and create programming paradigms and utilize tools like git, data structures, OOP, and network algorithms. Telecommuting is permitted, allowing work to be performed from anywhere in the US.
