This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr Data Scientist in Maryland (USA). This role offers an exciting opportunity to design, develop, and deploy advanced data science, machine learning, and AI solutions in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. The Sr Data Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform complex data into actionable insights, optimize processes, and enhance software products.   • Collaborate with management, departments, and customers to gather and analyze end-user requirements and specifications.
  • Design, develop, and deploy data science, machine learning, and AI solutions to enhance software functionality and operational workflows.
  • Operate with cloud-based platforms (GCP, Databricks) and visualization tools to implement robust data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing solutions to ensure reliability, performance, and usability.
  • Monitor user feedback and assess solution effectiveness, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Communicate technical findings and collaborate with teammates, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Create technical documentation to support future development, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Master’s degree in Data Science or a related discipline (Bachelor’s with 12+ years of experience accepted).
  • At least 10 years of demonstrated experience in data science or a related field.
  • Prior experience in government contracting and eligibility for government clearance (HSPD-12 Public Trust).
  • Proficiency with cloud data platforms (GCP), Databricks, workflow automation (AppScript), and modern BI/analytics tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong programming and API integration skills, including Python, REST, OAuth2/SAML/JWT, and SQL databases.
  • Experience in data quality assurance, workflow optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Innovative, customer-focused mindset with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
