About The Position

To lead the data quality improvement efforts throughout the organization. The Senior DataQuality Analyst uses their in-depth knowledge of the data and its potential quality issues torecognize and resolve data quality issues prior to them becoming data problems. This positionprovides organizational and technical support for the analysis, improvement and documentationof all data quality improvement efforts. This position writes the process and procedures torecognize and resolve on-going data issues. This positions is responsible to develop andimplement long-term quality strategies, identify quality gaps, implement reporting processes inorder to track quality improvements, enhance current systems, define and prioritize high-valuequality products and manage projects to completion, develop standardized testing methods whichfacilitate the quality checking process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or related field;minimum four (4) years data quality analyst experience withexperience in medical information systems; or equivalent combinationof education and experience. Experience with Health Care Data ispreferred.
  • Knowledge of databases and software (SQL Server, Business Objects,Access, SSIS, Tableau, normalization, queries, views). Willingness toacquire knowledge on new technologies to solve quality problems,excellent problem solving and analytical skills, ability to workindependently, self-directed and solutions-oriented, soundorganizational and planning skills with a solid attention to detail,effective communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to assist othersin defining their needs in a collaborative, tactful manner. Demonstratedaptitude for acquiring new technical skills in a data qualityenvironment. Detail-oriented with strong organization skills. Ability towork on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and meetdeadlines.

  • Experience with Health Care Data ispreferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the process of defining and implementing an overall data quality strategy andapproach to determine, investigate, and resolve data quality issues.
  • Work closely with the business and outside auditors to explain data quality issues andthe how we are resolving them.
  • Responsible for data quality documentation for HEDIS and NCQA purposes.
  • Utilize profiling, quality tools, and various data sources in order to determine causes ofquality issues
  • Establish an on-going process to maintain quality data and define quality auditprocesses.
  • Train and articulate to the other departmental professionals regarding the benefits andneed for quality checking.
  • Leads and participates in special projects as needed and assigned.
  • Perform Business Analyst duties for Data Quality Projects.
  • Participant on any data quality workgroups or team goals.
