About The Position

The Senior Data Engineer role sits within the TKO Data Services department; you will work actively to unlock the value of data by building and enabling product teams and data practitioners to use our data platform and warehouse. You are curious and passionate about building value-creating and innovative solutions for the company and colleagues. You will have the chance to work with product managers and data scientists on building the best technical solutions. You will have the opportunity to rotate on the products you develop and contribute to technical showcases. Work in a dynamic and exciting agile team with a highly skilled team of Data Engineers from other disciplines to design and develop innovative data-driven solutions Comfortable with designing and building data pipelines and have a solid appreciation for how all phases of the data lifecycle from ingestion, to cleansing, transforming and analysing fit together Design and implement data models to support the data product and ensure scalability/performance Take responsibility for delivering projects and provide technical leadership to drive our data products to the next level Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data across the data pipeline Advising on product upgrades and Improvements Responsible for coordinating the software development process Work with the team to ensure that features are estimated correctly Ensure the team’s success in delivery, primarily by helping to identify and especially remove impediments impacting the team's ability to deliver Building, testing and deployment of optimised data solutions for analytics and reporting (for example DataMart’s, views, perspectives, cubes). Supporting the planning of data platform services including sizing, configuration, and needs assessment.

Requirements

High-level expertise with Python
Strong experience with data orchestration tools (i.e. Prefect, Airflow)
Data modeling skills with a strong preference for DBT
Strong SQL skills with a focus on cloud database experience (i.e., Snowflake)

Experience with BI tooling (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI, Looker)
Experience with leveraging cloud tooling for Data Engineering (i.e. AWS, Azure, GCP)
Background in building, maintaining, and supporting data pipelines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to identify software bugs and work with the team to develop solutions
Supporting the planning of data platform services including sizing, configuration, and needs assessment.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
