About The Position

As a Sr. Data Engineer II , you’ll support C2SET interoperability by validating, troubleshooting, and maintaining data exchanges between C2SET and external federated systems. This role ensures data accuracy, timing alignment, and standards compliance for Joint and Coalition training exercises by working closely with integration engineers, analysts, and Government stakeholders. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Have an active U.S. Government issued Secret clearance
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, database engineering, or database administration
  • Hands on experience with Python and SQL, including building or supporting ETL pipelines
  • Experience designing, maintaining, or validating relational and unstructured databases in multi-tier environments
  • Familiarity with structured data formats such as JSON and XML and data serialization concepts
  • Experience testing, validating, and troubleshooting data interfaces or integrations
  • Understanding of schema validation and configuration for distributed or federated data exchanges
  • Ability to document interface changes and maintain compliance with defined data standards

Responsibilities

  • Validate and test data exchanges between C2SET and external federated systems
  • Troubleshoot data mismatches, malformed messages, and interface issues
  • Maintain federation data, enumerations, and schemas across integration points
  • Support Government analysts with timely and accurate data refreshes
  • Ensure message integrity, timing alignment, and standards conformance
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with federation interface and interoperability requirements
  • Monitor and support data flows during exercises and Joint or Coalition events
  • Document interface behavior, schema changes, and troubleshooting steps
  • Collaborate with integration, modeling and simulation, and security teams to resolve data issues
