About The Position

ASRC Federal NetCentric is seeking a Sr Data Architect to support the Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Services (FPS) Administrative and Program Support Services. This role involves maintaining and developing dashboards to assess and improve program effectiveness and complex management processes for HQ. The architect will evaluate FPS programs, divisions, and systems to identify defects, gaps, and risks, measure output adequacy, and assess operational reliability. Key responsibilities include preparing recommendations for risk mitigation and efficiency improvements, supporting the implementation of new processes, programs, and systems, and national coordination efforts. The position also entails supporting quality management for ISO 9000 certified processes, improving decision-making through business intelligence, identifying and collecting key performance indicators, driving efficiencies based on performance data, reviewing and recommending data collection methodologies, and preparing various reports (briefings, white papers, decision papers, memoranda) on business process improvements. The role requires researching and analyzing data quality, making actionable recommendations, identifying systemic problems, developing corrective actions, and creating standard and ad-hoc statistical and graphical reports for FPS and external organizations. This is a hybrid role, primarily remote, supporting operations in Bren Mar, Virginia.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • 10+ years related experience with Power BI
  • 10+ years related experience with Data analytics
  • 10+ years related experience with ServiceNow
  • 10+ years related experience with Sharepoint
  • DHS suitability clearance

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop the dashboard in order to enable the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems for HQ.
  • Evaluate working effectiveness and suitability of FPS programs, divisions, and systems through test methods aimed at (1) identification of defects, gaps, areas of risk, (2) measurement of the adequacy of the output, and (3) assessment of the reliability of the operations.
  • Prepare recommendations to mitigate risk and close gaps and improve overall effectiveness or efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of new processes, programs, and systems and national coordination efforts
  • Support implementation of quality management to enable the establishment of ISO 9000 certified processes.
  • Improve decision-making through implementation of business intelligence with FPS
  • Support the identification and collection of key performance indicators to monitor routinely for operational effectiveness
  • Drive efficiencies and process changes to address information developed from performance indicators and operational data
  • Review data currently available to FPS and the frequency and means of collection
  • Recommend and support implementation of new collection methodologies expanding and consolidating data requirements and analysis capabilities
  • Prepare reports (briefings, white papers, decision papers, and memoranda) on business process improvements and activities as needed to ensure the appropriate integration into FPS operations
  • Research and analyze data quality and make actionable recommendations to improve
  • Identifies systemic problems, develops and recommends corrective actions, and monitors progress of correction, requiring involvement of other Assistant Director of Field Operations and or Business Operations Manager.
  • Creates standard and ad-hoc statistical and graphical reports using databases and reporting tools for FPS and external organizations.
