About The Position

Join us in building and scaling Viant’s data platforms and advanced reporting capabilities. In this role, you will help power how marketers and internal teams’ access, trust, and act on data by developing robust reporting solutions and contributing to scalable data products. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping and scaling Viant’s data platforms and reporting products. You will own critical data workflows and reporting solutions, ensuring that our measurement capabilities are accurate, scalable, and aligned with business and client needs. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, driving data quality, defining metrics, and contributing to the architecture of data products that support both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 4–7+ years of experience in data analytics, data platforms, or related roles
  • Advanced SQL expertise (BigQuery strongly preferred) with a focus on performance and scalability
  • Experience building and owning reporting solutions (Tableau or similar)
  • Proven ability to manage data quality and implement QA frameworks
  • Ability to operate independently and drive projects with minimal direction
  • Experience working with data platforms (BigQuery, Databricks, or similar)

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to AI-enabled data tools (e.g., Databricks Genie or similar capabilities)
  • Experience in ad tech, measurement, or marketing analytics
  • Familiarity with data product thinking (scalable datasets, reusable models, stakeholder ownership)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business context

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of complex SQL-based datasets that power reporting and data products
  • Own end-to-end delivery of reporting solutions, from requirements through deployment and iteration
  • Define, standardize, and maintain core business and measurement metrics
  • Establish and enforce best practices for data QA, validation, and monitoring
  • Troubleshoot complex data issues and drive root cause analysis across systems
  • Partner with Product, Tech Solutions, and Operations to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions
  • Contribute to data platform evolution, including Databricks integrations and scalable data architecture
  • Mentor junior team members and elevate team standards for code quality, documentation, and processes
