About The Position

Under the direction of the Controller this full-time position will be responsible for the collection, analysis and interpretation of data related to ERM (Athena). This position takes and utilizes the data from Athena and provides Leadership with fact-based analysis primarily for management to make operational decisions and also to provide data for inclusion in several reporting projects such as for the UDS submission and the submission of data to AHCCCS to square up amounts due Circle the City from the Reconciliation process. This position requires the ability to organize and synthesize data, as well as effectively and efficiently utilize Microsoft Excel for business intelligence and reporting. Some of the specific duties for this role include the following: Support CTC Finance month end close process and reporting by processing the monthly revenue analysis and cumulative revenue analysis data in coordination with the CTC Finance team. Monthly and as needed create reports for patient encounters and patient counts: responsible for analyzing claims/encounter data/patient counts Create and maintain monthly KPI Dashboard Reporting Assist management in developing Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports for CTC Leadership and Teams. Annual Data Reporting Needs: AHCCCS Reconciliation (this is annual, but there is back and forth during the process through the year until finalized), UDS, Audits, etc. Daily / Monthly track patient bed days reporting for CTC Respite locations Any reporting needs for Grants or Funders. For example, run quarterly City of Tempe, City of Mesa reports Any ad-hoc reports and analytic support needed for any of the CTC teams, Leadership, Funders, etc. General Data Analytics Reconcile data from different sources (i.e. encounter data) Identify data anomalies and exceptions as observed in data Understand the reasons and impacts of data anomalies, exceptions, and changes in benchmarks on desired analytics in order to explain these issues to leadership Acts as a resource for the finance team and other CTC teams for extracting data from Athena or other databases for meeting data needs Act as a general resource for data related issues.

Requirements

  • Computer literacy, data entry and data analysis experience
  • Ability to interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining.
  • Ability to work directly with stakeholders to identify analytical requirements.
  • Possesses knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Capability to support the design, development, implementation of business solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with external partners
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Good attention to detail
  • The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Experience with Excel, SPSS, Access or other data analysis software is required.
  • Position requires extended periods of sitting and standing including bending and reaching
  • Handles stress in a positive manner
  • Ability to be flexible and to multitask
  • Demonstrated interest in working with an underserved population
