About The Position

The Sr. Data Analyst will play a crucial role in understanding business processes and providing data analysis to enhance departmental efficiency and performance. This position requires collaboration with various teams to design data models, ensure data quality, and communicate insights effectively. The role is based in the Ft. Requirements

• 5+ years' experience as a data analyst in a centralized data warehouse environment.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with SQL and understanding of different data structures.
• 4+ years' experience with data modeling concepts and techniques.
• Experience with DB Visualizer or similar DB Query tool.
• Experience with Cognos v.8.x or higher or similar BI tool is a plus.
• Experience with Power BI tool is a plus.
• Experience with Teradata Data Warehouse or other DBMS is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, along with organizational and presentation skills.
• High achievement orientation and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Understand source systems, data flows, and their data models.
• Analyze data to validate business domains and requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Data Architect to design new data models and views.
• Develop source to target mappings for data lineage (STTM).
• Conduct data profiling and ensure data quality requirements are accurate and complete.
• Validate that data integration, movement, and warehouse meet requirements and service-level agreements.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications with architects.
• Act as a conduit between business subject matter experts and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood.
• Advise on data model reviews, architecture approach, and solution design to meet business requirements.
• Adhere to data governance strategy and guidelines.
• Engage in test strategy and test plan development, executing use cases to validate data.
• Communicate planned and unplanned activities to appropriate parties.
