About The Position

Resource Innovations is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst Manager to join our growing team in the Midwest and Illinois. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Data Analyst Manager with a strong background in data analysis to join our dynamic team. As an/a Sr. Data Analyst Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of analysts to deliver insights from complex data, which requires both strong technical skills and leadership abilities. Key responsibilities include managing data quality and integrity, building and maintaining data models and dashboards, and communicating analytical findings to stakeholders to guide strategic decisions. The role also involves project management, recruiting, training junior analysts, and ensuring that data processes and reporting standards meet business needs and regulatory requirements. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts supporting complex energy efficiency and clean energy programs. Oversee the delivery of dashboards, reporting suites, regulatory filings, and analytics models that support program operations and client needs. Partner with program managers, engineering, evaluation, and IT teams to define requirements and ensure analytic outputs are aligned with program goals. Translate business and regulatory needs into scalable analytics solutions, using advanced SQL, data modeling, and visualization tools. Ensure data accuracy, governance, and consistency across multiple systems and utility program datasets. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through deep data analysis to support program strategy and continuous improvement. Enhance internal analytics processes, documentation, and best practices to improve efficiency and data quality. Communicate complex data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including utility clients. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields
  • 2+ years of experience managing or leading analytics teams
  • Advanced skills in data analysis, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI , Tableau )
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL, and various data platforms is often required
  • Experience working with complex datasets, data governance, and analytics process development
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment with shifting priorities and deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with (and patience for) creating new analytics processes for an early-stage environment
  • Experience in energy efficiency, clean energy programs, utilities, or regulatory environments.
  • Familiarity with Python or R for advanced analytics.
  • Experience with forecasting, evaluation methodologies, or statistical modeling.
  • Understanding of DSM (Demand-Side Management) program data.

  • The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $125-134k.
  • In addition to base pay, employees are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
  • The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position.
  • Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location.
