The Strategy Analytics Team is a driver of innovative, data-driven strategic insights within Cardinal Health’s Global Medical Products and Distribution business. As part of the Strategy Team, we combine deep business understanding with advanced analytics to uncover insights that drive impactful decisions and support sustainable solutions. We are seeking an experienced Sr Data Analyst to develop impactful, data-driven solutions that support strategic portfolio decisions and operational execution, while leading a team of analysts. This role is ideal for a people leader who thrives on solving complex problems, mentoring talent, and driving innovation through analytics. You will work cross-functionally with US Medical Products teams across sales, marketing, and other analytics functions to translate business needs into scalable tools and insights. You’ll be responsible for building and evolving systems, processes, and team capabilities that extract meaningful insights from Cardinal Health’s data ecosystem. Success in this role requires strong technical acumen, a strategic mindset, and a passion for fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

  • Provide thought leadership and contribute to the evolution of analytics capabilities, policies, and best practices
  • Drive strategic analytics projects that deliver actionable insights and support business growth
  • Champion data-driven decision-making and advocate for the strategic use of analytics across business units
  • Translate complex business challenges into structured analytical approaches and scalable solutions
  • Guide the development and refinement of tools, dashboards, and processes that enable insight generation across the organization
  • Mentor and coach team members, supporting their professional growth and technical development
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leaders, helping shape portfolio direction through data and insight
  • Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and strategic thinking in navigating evolving business needs
  • Promote a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous improvement
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related preferred
  • Advanced Degree is desired
  • 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, strategy, or related role including 2+ years in a people management role preferred
  • Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Excel)
  • Experience with statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R), relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Google Cloud), and emerging technologies such as LLMs is a plus
  • Understanding and demonstrated application of stochastic modeling techniques
  • Strong understanding of business systems and processes across marketing, customer research, and analytics
  • Proven ability to lead teams in synthesizing data from diverse, disconnected sources to uncover strategic insights
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading teams through complex, data-driven challenges both independently and in collaborative team settings
