As a Cyber Security Engineer at CGI Federal, you will provide technical expertise in the identification, development, and prioritization of cyberspace operations requirements, processes, procedures, and governing directives. You will assist in conducting cyberspace operations and the defense of the DOD Information Network (DODIN), ensuring situational awareness of cyber incidents and the health, performance, availability, and reliability of the DODIN. Your role will involve identifying issues and priorities affecting operations and supporting the creation, dissemination, and compliance of applicable orders and directives to the DOD community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of relevant professional IT experience
  • Active Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI).
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering and cyberspace operations.
  • Strong technical expertise in identifying and developing cyberspace operations requirements and processes.
  • Ability to provide situational awareness of cyber incidents and the performance of the DODIN.
  • Experience in supporting the creation and compliance of orders and directives within the DOD community.
  • Analytical skills to assess capability development requirements and system architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise for the identification, development, and prioritization of cyberspace operations requirements, processes, procedures, and governing directives.
  • Assist in conducting cyberspace operations and defense of the DOD Information Network (DODIN).
  • Provide situational awareness (SA) of cyber incidents, health, performance, availability, and reliability of the DODIN.
  • Identify issues and priorities affecting operations and support the creation, dissemination, and compliance of applicable orders and directives to the DOD community.
  • Address areas of concern for the development of cyberspace capabilities for cyberspace operations.
  • Prepare and modify requirements to develop cyberspace capabilities based on the changing cyberspace environment for appropriate Government review, validation, and prioritization.
  • Analyze capability development requirements, concept of operation documents, and system architectures.
