About The Position

Powering Financial Flexibility for the Workforce Building compliant, customer-first products at the intersection of pay and regulation EarnIn is hiring a Senior Product Counsel to support the continued evolution of its earned wage access and payroll-connected financial products. This role sits at the center of product innovation and regulatory complexity, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Payments, and People teams to build solutions that empower workers while managing legal risk responsibly. The Senior Product Counsel will advise on issues spanning employment law, wage and hour compliance, payroll services regulation, payments frameworks, and broader financial services requirements. You’ll play a key role in product development from ideation through launch, helping structure features, flows, and partnerships in ways that are operationally sound and defensible. The ideal candidate brings substantial experience advising payroll service providers, workforce platforms, or fintechs with payroll, wage, or earned wage access components. You are comfortable operating at the intersection of employment law, payments, and financial regulation, and can translate evolving legal requirements into practical, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders. You are a pragmatic advisor who separates theoretical risk from operational reality and approaches problem-solving with a “yes, and” mindset—enabling the business to move from 0 to 1 while keeping customers at the center and mitigating regulatory exposure. You are highly organized, able to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously, and exercise strong independent judgment in fast-moving environments.
