About The Position

We are looking to hire a Senior Cost Accountant to be based in our Aiken, South Carolina location. Come join a great team in Operations and work together to achieve optimal performance by providing accounting, reporting and analysis to support company objectives and improvements for inventory management, product cost/ profitability, manufacturing productivity and overall process efficiency across our site. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Maintain the company's cost systems for all domestic locations Roll and verify standard / current costs for all products Review Bill of Material (BOM) and coordinate with plants and departments Review and analyze absorption (Material, Labor, Overhead) P&L impact Compile Productivity and Efficiency reports for operations and management Prepare and analyze, as necessary, excess & obsolete inventory and assures appropriate handling Perform Month End closing processes and journal entries Reconcile various general ledger accounts including inventory monthly, quarterly, or annually as required Coordinate and oversee physical inventories, including reconciliation and recording Complete and analyze Gross Profit and Product mix reports for management Maintain the company's transfer pricing files and complete transfer pricing study documents Complete various inventory reports on monthly basis and other reports as required Review departmental budget and spend Assist in the company’s various Product Line moves and projects Oversee Cost Accountants role Who You Are: Uses knowledge of business drivers and how strategies and tactics play out in the market to guide actions. Knows how businesses work and how organizations make money. Acquires data from multiple and diverse sources when solving problems. Understands the meaning and implications of key financial indicators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/ finance or related field
  • 3+ years’ of experience
  • Demonstrated experience in computerized accounting systems and knowledge of relevant computer technology
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in teams
  • Domestic and international travel, 5%
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel Knowledge
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities
