A successful candidate will be ready to jump into action, working closely with experts across the legal department and business partners to provide practical, strategic legal guidance and design and implement creative, simple solutions to address complex legal and technological challenges. T-Mobile has an exciting opportunity for a bright, pragmatic, “business first” transactional attorney to join our team and help get stuff done. This role supports a broad portfolio of enterprise procurement and commercial transactions, including technology transactions and financial services procurement (credit rating agencies, auditors, banks, fintech, payment services, financial products (credit card, gift cards); fraud, collections etc.. The attorney will independently lead negotiations, provide risk-based counseling to senior business leaders, and partner cross-functionally across Legal, Finance, Risk, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Compliance, and Third-Party Risk Management. This role requires strong commercial judgment, the ability to translate legal risk into clear business decision frameworks, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-volume enterprise procurement environment. Requirements

  • A U.S. law degree, with admission to at least one state bar in good standing
  • 7-10 + years of relevant experience, including:
  • Substantial experience in-house and/or at a law firm negotiating complex commercial agreements, including technology transactions and/or financial services procurement
  • Significant experience negotiating complex commercial agreements with sophisticated counterparties
  • Demonstrated understanding of: Technology and SaaS contracting frameworks Enterprise risk allocation Financial services and banking-related vendor structures
  • Strong business and legal acumen, with the ability to assess risk, think strategically, and develop pragmatic solutions in ambiguous environments
  • Client-focused mindset, comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort operating across diverse commercial domains
  • Ability to balance transaction velocity with disciplined risk management in high-volume environments
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements, including: Technology transactions (SaaS, cloud, AI tools, cybersecurity solutions, software licensing, professional services) Financial services procurement (banking relationships, payment processors, fintech providers, credit rating agencies, auditors) Enterprise professional services, consulting, and strategic vendor arrangements
  • Structure and negotiate liability regimes (indemnities, limitations of liability, risk allocation frameworks)
  • Advise on complex commercial terms, including pricing models, audit rights, service levels, credits, warranties, and termination rights
  • Ensure agreements accurately reflect business objectives while minimizing legal, operational, financial, and security risk
  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor to business, procurement, credit risk and finance stakeholders, providing practical, solution-oriented counsel aligned with enterprise strategy and operational objectives.
  • Identify and assess legal, regulatory, financial, and operational risks; articulate mitigation strategies; and exercise independent judgment within established corporate risk frameworks.
  • Collaborate effectively across Legal, Finance, Risk, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Compliance, and other enterprise functions to deliver integrated, business-ready outcomes on complex transactions.
  • Drive operational excellence by developing and refining templates, playbooks, and category standards, and by leveraging technology-enabled solutions and process optimization to improve contracting efficiency, scalability, and risk consistency.
