T-Mobile’s Federal Regulatory Affairs team is seeking a sharp, business-minded attorney to serve as Senior Corporate Counsel focused on federal funding, broadband deployment programs, and Universal Service. You will lead post-award execution and grant administration, help shape the company’s positions on the FCC’s Universal Service Fund modernization, and partner with our cross-functional team to convert policy into results. You will T-Mobile’s frontline advocate with the FCC, NTIA, industry organizations, and other federal stakeholders. This position centers on effective advocacy: understanding T-Mobile’s technology and services, combining data with deep knowledge of the law to create persuasive arguments, and clearly presenting the company’s viewpoint while leveraging your knowledge of and relationships with key decisionmakers. What you’ll do in your role: Own government post-award execution: interpret federal and state requirements, coordinate certifications and reporting, and provide practical guidance to business and compliance partners. Lead advocacy on USF and funding policy: draft comments, reply comments, ex partes, and briefing materials on USF modernization, including Lifeline, E-Rate, Rural Healthcare, High-Cost and 5G Fund; translate proposals into actionable guidance. Guide grant administration and audit readiness: translate complex regulatory programs and rules into internal controls for federal and state grants; partner with our compliance team to manage outside counsel and consultants. Analyze internal economics and business cases; reflect insights into filings and cross-functional recommendations. Support accessibility matters, including applicable FCC rules and related compliance. Coordinate with FCC staff, USAC, NTIA, Treasury, and state broadband offices; prepare executives for meetings and presentations. Collaborate across Legal, Government Affairs, Network, Finance, and Operations to ensure filings and communications accurately represent our technology and services. Maintain trackers and executive updates on deadlines, risks, and opportunities.
