Your opportunity Assist in the preparation of journal entries, financial analyses and financial statements including supporting documentation, income statements and balance sheets and other financial statements and reports and monthly account reconciliations and fluctuation explanations Make recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures Research and resolves a variety of accounting items Make recommendations and assists with the implementation of departmental procedures and systems Understand the flow of data and how to use the various computer-based accounting programs Work with other departments to maintain information flow and respond to inquiries regarding financial transactions File and maintain records of Corporate Accounting data Carry out other duties as assigned Support Finance transformation through participating in current state and future state assessment activities Creation of current state assessment documents with all the gaps including process, technology, controls, and changes documented Develop future state process maps and document key design decisions Work with process owners to identify and resolve all emerging issues on transformation program

Requirements

  • 2-4 years Corporate Accounting or Public Accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent required
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Good working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and Excel; SAP preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal direction

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP S4 HANA or ECC
  • Accounting system upgrade project experience
  • Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
