About The Position

The Senior Coordinator for Interim Housing serves as the subject matter expert on interim housing needs at the SPA level, focusing on system management, site operations, and the expansion of the interim housing portfolio. This role involves providing consultation and training to IH Coordinators, streamlining the interim housing delivery system across Los Angeles County, and ensuring quality services and performance outcomes for providers supporting individuals experiencing homelessness.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years' or more experience in the provision, oversight, management, and/or implementation of programs/services in the non-profit or government sectors relevant to this position.
  • Two (2) years' experience in a leadership position.
  • Bachelor's degree in fields related to Social Work, Social Welfare, Public Health, Public Administration, and Public Policy is strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with LAHSA funded programs and best practices in homeless services program provision including Housing First philosophy.
  • Familiarity with the Coordinated Entry System.
  • Experience with program development, implementation, and management.
  • Familiarity with Clarity HMIS and program data requirements, with experience in data gathering, aggregation, analysis, and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees SPA outcomes for active system management and interim housing site operations.
  • Develops and carries out orientation, training, and quality assurance activities for Interim Housing Department staff in collaboration with the IH Manager.
  • Oversees a small portfolio of interim housing sites.
  • Assesses SPA level needs of IH providers and leads appropriate training, interventions, and interim housing targeted collaboratives.
  • Develops working relationships with various stakeholders, community partners, and service providers for programming development and evaluation.
  • Leads the design of programming through the development of RFPs and evaluation of proposals for funding.
  • Drives the development of practice standards, program guides, Statements of Work, Key Performance Indicators, and Scopes of Required Services for programs.
  • Supports the development and implementation of tools to assist agencies in tracking and providing services to program participants.
  • Coordinates, facilitates, trains, and supports providers in post-award activities such as contract coordination and onboarding.
  • Ensures high-level programmatic issues are elevated and resolved swiftly to support staff and agency relationships with providers.
  • Provides support and reports to LAHSA's governing bodies and performs other projects as needed.
