About The Position

As a Country Controllership Lead here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making within the organization. You will work out of our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location. External hires will begin working onsite for 90 days before transitioning to a 3/2 hybrid schedule. In this role, you will impact the financial health of the company by ensuring accurate financial reporting, analyzing financial data, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in accounting or controllership roles
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Experience working with SAP tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Process oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read, write and speak English

Responsibilities

  • Country Controllership Lead for all legal entities registered in identified LATAM.
  • End to end responsibility and oversight over US GAAP and statutory reporting plus ensure and environment of strong internal controls.
  • Closely collaborates with RFC in Phoenix & 3rd Party Service provider through direct management of staff and/or outsource service providers.
  • Ensure statutory and US GAAP reports are timely and accurately filed for all in-country reporting units and legal entities
  • Manage staff or outsourced service providers supporting those reports; partner with outsource firm to complete local government tax filing and payments
  • Conduct material annual balance sheet reviews; safeguard company assets in the country – review and approve fixed assets/inventory counts
  • Sign representation letter for the units & lead and coordinate internal/external audits
  • Oversees regulatory audits; support regulatory reporting – withholding tax and financial statistical reporting; responsible signatory for local banking transactions and statutory accounts; partner with SBG controllers to address in-country legal entity change management needs.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy
  • Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance
  • Travel, up to 10%, may be expected.
