About the position

The Contracting Analyst is responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts to meet business objectives while ensuring compliance with company policies. This remote position involves comprehensive reviews of supplier contracts and internal templates, supporting procurement project stages, and addressing vendor performance issues. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing vendor contracts and a background in procurement functions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal legal counsel and risk team to negotiate with suppliers on data security, privacy, legal compliance, and commercial terms.
  • Ensure timely review, approval, or reconciliation of contract variations and communicate contracts to relevant parties for visibility.
  • Serve as the point of contact for internal stakeholders on contractual matters, advising on rights and obligations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and negotiator between internal project teams, stakeholders, and suppliers to manage issues and execute contracts.
  • Research, recommend, and create contract policies, procedures, and clauses.
  • Assist in maintaining a contract repository and monitor critical contract terms for proactive management of renewals, variations, or terminations.

Requirements

  • Proven success in managing a high-volume workload.
  • Experience reviewing, revising, and annotating contracts using templates and clause libraries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in project updates.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Effective negotiation, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work within a team of procurement professionals.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a focus on internal stakeholder needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in legal contract matters, contract management, business negotiations, or vendor management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing and documenting standardized processes.
