About The Position

Following the conclusion of mining activities in 2017, our operation now manages properties at various stages of exploration, development, care & maintenance, and closure. Under the direction of the Project Services Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for all pre-award and post-award aspects of contract administration including executing the procurement strategy, and contractor performance management throughout the life cycle of the Curlew Basin Restart Project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
  • 5-8 years' of experience in contract formation or procurement within large-scale mining, infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, tendering processes, and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex tender packages, including EPC, construction, and professional services contracts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft and review contractual documents.
  • Proficient in procurement and document control systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with restart or brownfield projects is desirable.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and audit the formation of high-value contracts, including the preparation of scopes of work, commercial terms, tender documentation, and bid evaluation criteria.
  • Manage the end-to-end tendering process, from RFQ/RFP issuance through to contract award, ensuring compliance with Supply Chain policies and project timelines.
  • Coordinate with Projects Team, Supply Chain, legal, and the Kettle River departments to ensure contract requirements are accurate, complete, and aligned with project objectives.
  • Provide insight and expertise to the projects team regarding contract requirements.
  • Facilitate and lead clarification meetings, bid evaluations, and negotiation sessions with potential contractors and suppliers.
  • Develop and manage contract award documentation, ensuring all commercial, legal, and risk management considerations are addressed.
  • Maintain procurement and contract formation registers, ensuring traceability and audit readiness.
  • Provide advice and support to stakeholders on procurement strategy, contract structuring, and market engagement.
  • Delegate tasks to the project contracts team.
  • Act as a key point of contact / relationship owner with a designated internal group.
  • Support project reporting requirements related to procurement and contract formation status.
  • Ensure alignment with overall contracting strategy, project controls, and schedule milestones.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
