The Sr. Content Designer creates, develops, and executes a brand content strategy that takes into account the customer journey and intended customer experience. This role contributes to the planning, development, and management of content, producing content guidelines, assessments, models, plans, architecture, and frameworks. The designer monitors the target audience's needs and ensures that content for various digital experiences, social media campaigns, surveys, etc., is usable, well-structured, easily found, and aligned with the organization's brand and style guidelines. They apply knowledge of digital properties and platforms to recommend, design, and optimize content structure, define and develop key brand messages, and ensure appropriate content is shown to users in the right place and format. Responsibilities also include creating and communicating a content value proposition, establishing content workflow, management, and governance, and creating content standards documents such as style, tone of voice, and accessibility guidelines. The designer prioritizes, plans, delivers, and maintains content for multiple channels and audiences, carries out user research and usability testing, creates content models, and gives recommendations for taxonomy and metadata. They use analytics tools to monitor content traffic, engagement, leads, and conversions after content is published, optimizing content in line with SEO best practices and conducting keyword research. The focus is primarily on the business/group within BMO, with a potential broader, enterprise-wide focus. The role provides specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support, exercising judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules, and works independently while regularly handling non-routine situations.
