Under the indirect supervision of a manager, you plan and organize cross-functional projects and develop consumer-centric objectives and strategies in response to business needs. You also interact independently with senior management and stakeholders. How you will contribute You will deliver on single or multi-stage complex projects, meeting standards and time frames by designing research and producing quality, actionable data. You will lead all aspects of qualitative and quantitative consumer research and ensure that the data gleaned is translated into a cohesive story. To that end, you will interpret results, report and present findings, and make recommendations that contribute to decision making. In this role, you may also lead descriptive panels, training, data analysis, reporting and assess panelist’s performance, interact with your peers, junior developers/marketing and other colleagues, and may take on supervisory responsibility when completing assignments. This role requires an understanding and the application of multivariate statistical methods to gain deeper understanding and insights from the research. Teamwork is essential in this position because you will participate in teams where new methodologies and capabilities are evaluated, proposed, and implemented. You will partner with key stakeholders (R&D and commercial/insights) to ensure that the work is aligned with strategic priorities and ensure that procedures are followed and the highest standards of work and environment, health and safety are maintained. Requirements

  • Qualifications in food science, engineering, psychology, sociology, food technology, food chemistry or similar
  • Qualitative and quantitative consumer testing methods
  • Statistics to analyze data and interpret results
  • Handling multiple priorities and adhering to deadlines
  • Effectively partner with stakeholders (R&D and Commercial / Insights) ensuring that the work is in line with the strategic and innovation priorities of the business
  • Working with cross-functional teams and business partners
  • Leads projects independently in terms of planning, analysis, and communication
  • Develops project objectives and strategies in response to business needs, executing against same, and recommending action plans to implement key findings
  • Has thorough understanding of analytical work
  • More comfortable with increasing levels of complexity; capable of collecting information from different sources both internal and external
  • Good communication skills
  • Begins to mentor and coach more junior employees
  • Project planning and management skills
  • Problem solving, creating solutions and working independently
  • Highly motivated BS or MS degree in Food Science, Engineering, Psychology or similar discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
