This role will work a hybrid schedule coming into the Columbus, Ohio office 2 days per week on Wednesdays & Thursdays. Position Summary The Delivery Leader is responsible for managing a complex portfolio of business-critical initiatives within the Annuity Technologies organization. This role ensures successful delivery of strategic portfolios and projects that align with both short-term and long-term business objectives. The Delivery Leader will drive execution excellence, foster collaboration, and enable transformation across technology and business domains. If that sounds like something you aspire to, we want to hear from you! As a Delivery Leader you’ll be responsible for delivering value and outcomes. Delivery leaders are encouraged to have an end-to-end vantage point on delivery, manage dependencies, remove blockers, engage partners, manage financials, improve vendor relationships, and enable an iterative delivery of value. You will need to keep pace with software delivery and organizational change methods and tools. Delivery leaders should also understand relevant Agile/Lean/DevOps tools and techniques.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing large, complex portfolios and programs.
  • Demonstrated success in leading technology or business transformation initiatives.
  • Strong delivery management skills with expertise in Agile, SAFe, and/or hybrid methodologies.
  • Experience leveraging Enterprise tools for Financial Management, Work Visibility and Demand/Capacity management (Planview and Jira)
  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management.
  • Risk and change management expertise.
  • Ability to influence and engage senior leadership.
  • Ten or more years of experience in technology or related field.
  • Five years demonstrated proficiency in delivering outcomes/projects.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies and/or industry trends.
  • Ability to make decisions and recommendations.
  • Aptitude to influence, establish relationships and set priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of associates, senior management and/or vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • Financial services or insurance industry experience preferred; familiarity with annuity products and regulatory considerations is a plus.
  • Technology certifications or PMI, SAFE, Agile or Lean designations are encouraged.
  • Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.
  • Undergraduate studies (bachelor’s degree preferred) in management information systems, engineering, math, computer science, data analytics or comparable experience and education strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio & Program Management Lead and oversee one or more portfolio of initiatives critical to Annuity business strategy. Ensure prioritization and sequencing align with enterprise objectives and resource capacity.
  • Delivery Execution Drive on-time, on-budget delivery of programs with measurable business outcomes. Implement governance standards, risk management, and quality assurance practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement Partner with business leaders, technology teams, and vendors to ensure transparency and alignment. Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies effectively to senior leadership.
  • Strategic Alignment Translate business objectives into actionable delivery plans. Support transformation initiatives that modernize technology platforms and processes.
  • Leadership & Team Development Mentor and guide delivery teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Metrics & Reporting Define and track KPIs for delivery performance, financial health, and business value realization. Provide executive-level reporting and insights for decision-making.
  • Accountable for the delivery of expected business outcomes, realization of benefits as outlined in the business case, drives incremental value, drives incremental planning, and drives dependency scope definition.
  • Responsible for applying secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Responsible for the communication, critical issues, visibility, OCM guidance to deliver business outcomes.
  • Managers the facilitation of contract negotiations, statement of work development and ensures our vendors are making expected progress.
  • Drives the prioritization of deliverables, manages complex issues/risks, governs dependencies.
  • Oversees the delivery of status/health reports to drive value delivery tracking (ex: KPIs), optimizes the flow of value and ensures demand/capacity is managed.
  • Manages and consults on complex and/or project/product financials.
  • Serves as the top professional to others around delivering business outcomes, benefit realization, agile delivery, and Lean.
  • May preform other responsibilities as assigned.
