The Sr Computer Operations Representative is responsible for daily computer operations tasks, month-end processing, after hour on-call support, project monitoring and completion. This position acts as a resource for the department and assists in daily operational issues as fit to the Computer Operations Department. The representative will monitor and enhance month-end processes, prepare and document new procedures for new and current processes, and assist in software installations and upgrades, system diagnostics and performance evaluations, and routine system file structure maintenance.

  • Assists in software installations and upgrades.
  • Conducts system diagnostics and performance evaluations.
  • Performs routine system file structure maintenance.
  • Coordinates regular staff meetings.
  • Prepares brief correspondence and reports.
  • Verbally communicates technical information and makes presentations.
  • Develops and documents procedures.
  • Follows up and researches questions and needed information.
  • Interacts with managers and senior management from all departments and divisions.
  • Performs data entry.
  • Bachelor's Degree or three to five years experience in a related field required.
  • Ability to navigate through RS6000 platform.
  • Support Symitar's software.
  • Navigate through Tandem system for ATM monitoring.
  • Use Windows 95.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
