About The Position

Help grow our ProxximaTM polyolefin thermoset system business. These resin formulations are based on cyclic C5 monomers and other proprietary monomers and additives. Our catalyst formulations have strong foundations in Nobel Prize-winning technology developed by Professor Robert Grubbs and his research team. This powerful combination produces polymers that have the capability to outperform today's thermoset composite solutions across a broad set of everyday applications such as wind turbine blades, electric vehicle parts, construction, and anticorrosion coatings. Your role is to help prospective customers around the world convert from their existing thermoset products to ProxximaTM polyolefin thermoset systems by demonstrating cycle time, weight, and physical performance advantages on their composite fabrication equipment.What you will do

Requirements

  • B.S. or higher in Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent
  • 5 - 10 years composite fabrication experience with deep understanding of high-pressure resin transfer molding (HP-RTM) and/or reactive injection molding (RIM) part fabrication processes
  • Working understanding of thermoset chemistry in systems such as epoxy, polyurethane, vinyl ester, or polydicyclopentadiene
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical support for customers producing composites via high pressure resin transfer molding (HP-RTM), liquid compression molding (LCM), and light resin transfer molding (LRTM)
  • Assist customers in optimizing their process to run ProxximaTM resins and, where needed, provide guidance on equipment upgrades.
  • Provide technical insights to help guide new application developments.
  • Provide market insights to inform and update business strategy.
  • Develop novel technology to strengthen the portfolio of intellectual property.
  • Train and mentor less experienced colleagues.
