About The Position

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. You'll protect mission integrity daily. Every decision you make today flies on orbit tomorrow. You own PCN dispositions — assessing radiation risk, supply continuity, and program impact, driving cross-functional closure or making the call yourself. You enforce compliance standards and close qualification gaps before they reach orbit. You set component strategy across design, quality, and supply chain — and you raise the technical bar for the engineers around you. You develop the next generation of component engineers. Your work directly enables Amazon's vision of global connectivity from space. Non-serviceable. Non-negotiable. Built to last. The Component Engineering team ensures mission success for Amazon's LEO satellite constellation. We manage every electrical component from selection through end-of-life, ensuring parts withstand space conditions—radiation, thermal cycling, and vacuum. We maintain Leo's approved component library. We drive qualification processes. We solve complex obsolescence challenges. We bridge design ambition and manufacturing reality, partnering across Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing. Our rigorous evaluation, testing, and lifecycle management enable innovation while protecting mission integrity. We ensure Amazon's global connectivity vision is built on proven, reliable components that perform flawlessly in space's harshest environment. Building the future of space infrastructure, one component at a time.
