About The Position

The Sr Compensation Consultant will support the Entertainment organization at Amazon, which includes Prime Video, MGM Studios, Amazon Music, Amazon Games, Wondery, Twitch, and Audible. This role focuses on addressing compensation needs through analytical and consulting services, working closely with People eXperience and Technology (PXT) partners and management. The consultant will proactively identify compensation issues and advocate for clients while promoting Amazon's Total Compensation Philosophy and Strategy.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in finance, compensation, or consulting with an in-depth knowledge of core compensation terminology and best practices.
  • General compensation knowledge required.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Microsoft Excel expertise.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees within the organization.
  • Proficiency in Excel Macros; familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Power Pivot and Tableau experience is preferred.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to create dynamic tools and models to interpret and analyze data.
  • Ability to connect disparate data sources and operationalize tasks.
  • Experience enhancing and/or implementing compensation systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing compensation programs and model potential impact of alternatives and future programs.
  • Provide guidance to the business and develop creative solutions on a variety of total compensation issues including the setting of appropriate pay levels, base pay, annual pay and stock compensation.
  • Work on a variety of projects including program design, analysis, budgeting, and implementation of new programs.
  • Conduct custom surveys with key Entertainment industry contacts, as needed.
  • Partner with regional and global compensation partners on compensation issues, and work on a variety of special compensation projects as needed.
  • Consult with business on job evaluations using market data and internal evaluation.
