About The Position

The Senior Compensation Analyst is a trusted advisor who partners across the organization to design, analyze, and communicate compensation programs that support Topgolf’s talent strategy and business goals. This role blends strong analytical expertise, market intelligence, and strategic storytelling to ensure compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and compliant. You’ll lead market pricing for the Venue Support Center, support compensation governance, conduct pay equity analyses, and manage key annual compensation cycles. This role plays a critical part in balancing market competitiveness, internal equity, and fiscal responsibility while delivering practical, data-driven recommendations to leaders.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of progressive experience in compensation analysis; experience in hospitality, restaurant, or multi-unit environments preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., nested formulas, XLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query, scenario modeling, data validation).
  • Strong understanding of compensation survey methodologies, job matching, data aging, and geographic differentials.
  • Experience with compensation governance, policy development, and pay transparency practices.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex compensation concepts and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with incentive design principles (eligibility, targets, performance measures, payout curves) and basic equity concepts.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: experience with Workday, Power BI, Tableau, or similar compensation and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

  • Market Intelligence & Job Pricing Lead market pricing for new and existing roles using reputable survey data to develop competitive and defensible pay ranges.
  • Maintain alignment of job architecture, including job families, levels, and career paths, ensuring accurate benchmarking.
  • Conduct ad hoc market analyses for hard-to-fill roles, evolving positions, and geographic pay differentials.
  • Program Design & Governance Partner with Legal, HR Operations, and Compliance to ensure adherence to compensation regulations (e.g., FLSA, pay transparency, local laws).
  • Support the design and enhancement of base pay, bonus, and sales incentive programs with data-driven recommendations.
  • Own key compensation cycle activities, including merit planning, promotions, market adjustments, and bonus planning.
  • Analytics & Insights Build and maintain advanced Excel models to support compensation planning and decision-making.
  • Conduct pay equity analyses and ongoing monitoring; partner with HR and Legal to address findings.
  • Develop dashboards and executive-ready visuals that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Stakeholder Partnership Present compensation philosophy, insights, and recommendations to HRBPs, Finance, and business leaders.
  • Create tools and resources (playbooks, FAQs, one-pagers) to enable consistent, policy-aligned decisions.
  • Provide consultative guidance on offers, promotions, and retention packages while ensuring alignment with governance and budget.
