COBOL Developer – Power / Utilities
Role Purpose
This role provides domain-aware interpretation of legacy COBOL systems.
The accelerator can detect patterns —
but utilities (electric power) logic must be understood, validated, and contextualized.
This person ensures:
👉 Extracted rules reflect real business logic
👉 Use cases align to operational reality
👉 Modernization targets are viable

Requirements

• COBOL expertise
• Utilities industry systems exposure (Electric Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution)
• Ability to translate technical logic into business context
• Experience with customer servicing or billing systems preferred

Nice To Haves

• MACSS experience and understanding (client’s CIS System)
