The position involves working with COBOL resources in Albany, NY, focusing on analyzing and recording business requirements for new or modified processes within the client's systems. The role requires participation in client business meetings and prototyping new or modified reports, forms, and screens according to customer specifications. The candidate will be responsible for modifying existing or creating new COBOL program code, writing advanced COBOL/CICS computer programs based on previously developed and approved specifications, and constructing code using various tools such as DB2, COBOL, CICS, IBM JCL, IBM MVS ISPF, Easytrieve, and Compuware File-Aid. Additionally, the role includes planning and conducting program design, coding, testing, and debugging activities for systems that utilize COBOL/CICS technologies within the Grants and Scholarship systems. The candidate will also develop test plans and data with user input, construct test data, run unit and regression test scripts, and present results to business area experts.
