As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced cloud infrastructure solutions. You will lead high-impact initiatives, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure our cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.) are robust, cost-effective, secure, and aligned with business goals. This position demands strong technical leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional communication and accountability.

  • Cloud Architecture & StrategyArchitect and implement scalable, highly available, and cost-efficient solutions using services such as EC2, S3, VMs, Kubernetes, or serverless offerings in AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
  • Continuously research new cloud services, evaluating their potential to enhance performance, resilience, and security.
  • Align all technology proposals to business need Automation & Infrastructure-as-CodeDrive adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools and processes (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
  • Automate complex deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks to streamline operations and reduce human error.
  • Performance, Reliability & Cost OptimizationEstablish performance baselines and SLAs; monitor resource utilization to proactively identify bottlenecks.
  • Propose and implement cost-saving strategies that maintain or improve performance, working closely with finance and management.
  • Security & ComplianceCollaborate with security teams to enforce identity/access management, data encryption, and other compliance best practices.
  • Conduct regular reviews of security configurations and incident response procedures, mitigating risk across multiple environments.
  • Incident Management & TroubleshootingServe as an escalation point for critical incidents. Perform advanced troubleshooting, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime.
  • Conduct root-cause analyses for recurring issues and drive improvements to prevent future incidents.
  • Team Leadership & MentorshipProvide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, guiding them in best practices and cloud architecture patterns.
  • Champion cross-team knowledge-sharing through lunch-and-learn sessions, documentation, and design workshops.

  • Documentation Leadership: Capable of leading design sketches and detailed documentation. Proactively cleans up "tech debt" in documentation to keep knowledge current and accessible.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • 5-7+ years of experience working with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), designing complex infrastructures at scale.
  • Expert understanding of cloud-native services: compute, storage, databases, networking, and security.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates) and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS) and serverless architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of networking (VPCs, subnets, load balancing, VPNs, DNS) and security best practices (IAM, encryption, compliance frameworks).
  • Ability to troubleshoot advanced performance issues, scaling constraints, and complex service interactions.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent.
  • Additional credentials (e.g., CISSP, CCNP, CKA) a plus.
