As the Senior Cloud Architect & Platform Engineer, the individual will be the master weaver of the AWS ecosystem, sitting at the intersection of high-level architectural vision and deep-code execution. This role is for a visionary who is passionate about fresh deployments and building elegant, invisible, and indestructible systems.

Requirements

8+ years of high-stakes engineering experience.
5+ years of deep-water AWS mastery.
Expert-level knowledge of the AWS stack (Compute, Networking, Global Transit, Storage).
High proficiency in Go, Python, or Rust, treating infrastructure like software.
Mastery of Kubernetes (EKS) and a 'Serverless-first' mindset.
A passion for Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Honeycomb) and high-availability design.
Ability to think as a systems thinker, seeing the 'big picture' of a distributed system while being able to debug specific issues like VPC routing or Lambda race conditions.
A pragmatic approach, knowing when to build for the 'ideal state' and when to ship a pragmatic solution that works today.
Leadership by influence, communicating complex architectural trade-offs to stakeholders and junior developers with equal clarity.

Nice To Haves

AWS Professional certifications (Architect or DevOps).
Experience scaling a CI/CD platform that developers actually love using.
Experience migrating legacy monoliths into sleek, event-driven microservices.

Responsibilities

Define how distributed systems evolve, ensuring AWS architecture is three steps ahead of business growth, owning the technical North Star.
Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) initiatives, building modular, self-healing platforms using Terraform or Pulumi.
Bake security into the DNA of infrastructure, moving past compliance checklists to automated, proactive guardrails.
Experiment with and implement the next generation of cloud-native patterns, from Serverless (Lambda/Fargate) to Kubernetes (EKS) at scale.
Mentor elite senior talent and set the definition of excellence for the entire engineering team.
