About The Position

UPMC Williamsport has an opening for a Full-Time Sr. Clinician to join the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit located at the Divine Providence Campus! This position will be scheduled 40 hours per week and will work evening shifts. Weekends and holidays will be assigned as needed. Qualified nursing professionals who meet the requirements for a Clinician and/or Clinician Fellow title will also be considered for this role: Clinician Fellow Requirements: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience. BSN not required at time of hire, but non-BSN candidates must enroll in a BSN program within 1 year of hire or transfer and complete the program within 3 years of enrollment. Clinician Requirements: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience. BSN required; Master's degree preferred. Final candidates will be selected for a job title within the career ladder that reflects level of education, experience and manager discretion at time of offer. Requirements

  • Four years of nursing experience required.
  • BS/BSN required.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing required if BS degree not in nursing or Master’s degree in a related field if BSN is held.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families.
  • Exemplary clinical judgment with critical thinking, analytical and problem solving abilities required as related to various aspects of patient care.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior progressive leadership experience strongly preferred for external hires.
  • Employees with a BSN may substitute a Master’s degree with a UPMC approved nursing certification required within 1 year of hire/transfer and must be maintained.
