Remote Location - CA Sacramento, California 95834 POSITION OVERVIEW: The Senior Clinical Supervisor is an advanced-level clinical role responsible for providing comprehensive oversight to a high-volume caseload (20+) supported by a mid-tier supervisor such as Assistant Supervisors and/or Associate Supervisors (BCaBAs). This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based behavior analytic services while fostering the development and competency of mid-tier clinical staff. The Senior Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes either direct implementation of the following tasks or delegation of the following tasks to a mid-tier supervisor: the assessment and analysis of the patient’s skills and challenging behaviors, development of treatment plans, overseeing the implementation of treatment, collaboration with and training of their patient’s caregivers, as well as ongoing coaching and training of behavioral technicians. Treatment plans are primarily designed to address areas of medical necessity and may occur in a variety of settings including the CARD center, patient’s home, school, community, or via telehealth. Additionally, this role engages in structured clinical mentorship with mid-tier staff to support consistent and accurate implementation of delegated supervisory responsibilities. Senior Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis or related field
  • Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Reliable means of transportation with proof of auto insurance, preferred
  • Must pass tuberculosis test
  • Ability to oversee 20+ patients including all appropriate state licensure and payor credentialing
  • Empathetic and compassionate individual with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members while maintaining a positive and solution focused attitude
  • Ability to work independently to solve problems and exercise clinical judgment
  • An effective communicator in both verbal and written formats
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook; ability to use new computer systems and iPads
  • Desire to continuously learn and develop skillsets
  • Ability to work in a variety of locations (center, telehealth patient home, etc.)
  • Ability to work with a variety of patients
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage a caseload of 20 or more patients
  • Provide structured supervision, coaching, and mentorship to Associate and Assistant Supervisors supporting the caseload
  • Delegate routine supervisory activities while ensuring completion of approximately 75% of all case management tasks by mid-level staff
  • Review and monitor delegated work—including program updates, documentation, communication efforts, and data integrity—to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
  • Uses clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient
  • Develop and maintain treatment plans
  • Ensure that all supervision hours are at 100% treatment adherence each month
  • Evaluate patients to identify both skill deficits and strengths
  • Analyze challenging behaviors to identify the function of the behavior
  • Develop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors
  • Observe treatment implementation for potential program revisions
  • Monitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols
  • Direct (or delegate to a mid-tier supervisor) behavior technicians in the implementation of new or revised treatment protocols
  • Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress towards treatment goals and adjust treatment protocols based upon data
  • Update treatment plans at least once per month, based upon patient response to treatment
  • Ensure strict adherence to all approved treatment hours as determined by Manager and inclusive of Supervisory hours and therapy hours
  • Accurately communicate treatment response to treatment stakeholders (i.e., caregivers, payers)
  • Coordinate care with other professionals
  • Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments
  • Include caregiver as a part of the treatment team, as evidenced by consistent Caregiver Collaboration meetings
  • Interacts with payers in a way that is collaborative, professional, thorough, and informative
  • Engages with payers as needed for funding meetings (i.e., IEP, peer reviews)
  • Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence
  • Maintains appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient’s medical record
  • Communicate effectively and with compassion to patients, families and colleagues
  • Provide direct therapy to patients, when required
  • Other duties as assigned
