About The Position

Participates as part of the clinical information systems team, including ED & OR systems, and performs liaison duties associated with the implementation, support, and maintenance for all aspects of the clinical information systems. This position provides problem tracking, resolution, on-going enhancement requests, active participation in systems testing, workflow redesign, change management, and continual education to facility employees and physicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer/Information Science or Healthcare with a minimum of 5 years experience in a healthcare, clinical, or health IT setting OR Master s degree in health information technology field with 3 years of experience.
  • Professional clinical degree
  • Implementation experience with hospital clinical applications.
  • Advanced working knowledge of clinical information systems (Cerner preferred).
  • Ability to work with end users to determined software specifications, hardware requirements and process improvement workflows.
  • Demonstration of strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of clinical workflow and operational processes within a department or interdepartmentally.
  • Comfortable and confident interacting with physicians and clinicians at all levels.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications required
  • Exhibits or has performed in a leadership role.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in nursing or clinical informatics preferred, to include Siemens, Opus, or other clinical systems.
