Job Description: Parsons is seeking talented Senior Roadway Engineers to join our Centreville, VA, and Washington, DC offices and contribute to impactful roadway and civil engineering projects across the DC region. Requirements

  • 8-15 years of related experience in highway/roadway engineering design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MicroStation, and industry-standard roadway design and analysis software.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with VDOT and DDOT standards and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform conventional and complex highway/roadway engineering tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Serve as a lead engineer for specific disciplines on small, intermediate and large sized projects or contribute as part of a larger project team.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and junior and mid-level Engineers working on the same project.
  • Plan and design roadway facilities that prioritize safety, reliability, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop engineering computations, material quantity take-offs, cost estimates, surveys, and designs.
  • Foster cooperative and productive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
