As the Senior Channel Manager, Builder, you are a strategic architect responsible for planning and executing integrated marketing programs that drive growth across multiple channels within the single-family home builder segment. You translate insights into action by partnering closely with product, sales, brand and external customer teams to anticipate market trends, develop compelling programs, and ensure flawless execution. This role is not about managing isolated tactics – it’s about designing cohesive, results-driven strategies that deliver brand relevance and commercial impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 8+ years of marketing experience, preferably in customer/channel marketing or brand management within a large, matrixed organization, managing builder accounts preferred
  • 5+ years of experience managing cross-functional projects with stage-gate frameworks
  • Strong understanding of business functions to support customers including digital and traditional marketing channels, experience with competitive RFPs line reviews, merchandising for physical locations, Salesforce / CRM, and financial acumen
  • Proven ability to interpret data and insights to craft compelling, actionable marketing strategies
  • Strong analytics skills, utilizing data and insights to inform strategy, proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel and Power BI
  • Demonstrated track record in optimizing marketing spend for effectiveness and efficiency
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – confident, clear, and authentic in delivering strategic messaging both written and verbal, proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • Collaborative, innovative, and adaptable mindset with a passion for continuous learning
  • This position requires up to 20 - 35% domestic travel, supporting key customer accounts and initiatives in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development for Key Accounts: Develop and implement comprehensive channel marketing strategies aligned with business objectives and partner priorities to drive profitable growth across customer-facing and influencer touchpoints.
  • Channel & Customer Expertise: Build and maintain deep channel knowledge through field travel and industry engagement. Analyze market research, market and competitive dynamics to identify product roadmap and marketing opportunities.
  • Go-to-Market Excellence: Design and execute high-impact integrated marketing plans including promotions, merchandising, new product launches and collateral to increase visibility and conversion. Oversee marketing budget and relationships with external agency/vendor partners.
  • Product Portfolio Management: Provide critical insights and analysis to Product Management partners to influence the product roadmap and maintain a market-relevant product portfolio.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between Sales, Brand Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, and regional stakeholders to ideate and activate programs that meet commercial objectives.
  • Cultivate Strong Partner Relationships - Build and maintain strong relationships in the field with home builders, wholesalers, plumbing contractors, influencers, and trade associations.
  • Performance Measurement: Define KPIs and track channel performance by analyzing sales, margins, and volume across key products and customers, and lead the development of targeted improvement plans.
