Senior Regulatory Compliance Engineer Position Overview We are seeking a Sr. Compliance Engineer with advanced expertise in RF, EMC, and product safety compliance to lead global certification efforts for our electronic and wireless systems. In this role, you will be responsible for both hands-on pre-compliance testing and the oversight of third-party certification labs to ensure our products meet international standards and regulatory requirements across North America, Europe, and other global markets. This position will interface closely with design engineering, quality, program management, and external agencies. You will act as a subject matter expert for key directives and standards such as FCC, ISED, CE (LVD, EMC, RED), EN/IEC safety, and wireless/RF protocols, guiding product compliance from early development through to global market access. Core Responsibilities Pre-Compliance Testing & Debugging Conduct internal EMC, RF, and Safety evaluations using lab equipment (Spectrum analyzers, signal generators, multimeters, leakage current testers, ground bond testers, high-pot testers). Identify design risks early and provide actionable feedback to engineering teams to reduce certification delays. Third-Party Lab Oversight Manage relationships and activities with NRTLs and accredited labs (e.g., UL, TUV, Intertek). Review and approve test plans, resolve technical issues during testing, and validate reports for compliance submissions. Global Certification & Regulatory Strategy Drive compliance efforts for FCC Part 15 (Subpart C), ISED Canada, EU RED, EU LVD, EU EMC, and other global frameworks. Stay current on evolving standards and regulatory landscapes to proactively guide product development. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams to embed compliance considerations into product design. Provide regulatory guidance from concept to launch. Documentation & Submission Ownership Prepare and manage technical files, risk assessments, FCC filings, and Compliance reports to support CE marking and other certifications. Technical Documentation: Develop and review technical documentation detailing compliance status, test plans, product descriptions, and reporting materials in line with agency and internal requirements. Testing Support & Travel: Provide hands-on support for certification testing as needed, including at international test labs. Occasional travel within LATAM (<25%) is expected to support in-country testing or inspections.
