As Sr. Cellular /RF Engineer II, you’ll design and optimize secure wireless connectivity solutions with the goal of delivering resilient, mission-critical communications across the federal government. Requirements

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required.
  • Possess DoD 8140 certification aligned to the 451 System Administrator work role when this billet is cyber-coded, such as Security+ as a baseline with SSCP or CISSP for senior practitioners. If not cyber-coded, certification may be designated as not applicable.
  • 7+ years of experience as an RF engineer with a primary focus on cellular and RF technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience assessing, engineering, and optimizing wireless connectivity solutions, including 4G and 5G cellular technologies.
  • Hands-on experience conducting RF and cellular site surveys, including signal strength measurements, propagation analysis, and coverage validation.
  • Proven ability to design and implement in-building and campus wireless solutions to improve coverage, capacity, and reliability.
  • Operational experience troubleshooting RF interference, signal degradation, and performance issues in complex environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is strongly preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education requirements.
  • Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up in a mission-critical operational environment.
  • Required technical certifications include a vendor or OEM certification aligned to deployed network or RF equipment or FCC GROL where applicable.
  • This position is designated as essential personnel supporting continuity of operations and may require work during government shutdowns, emergencies, or other critical situations.

Responsibilities

  • Use cellular and RF technologies to assess, design, and engineer secure wireless connectivity solutions in mission-critical federal environments.
  • Conduct RF site surveys, measure and analyze signal strength and interference, and design solutions to improve in-building coverage, performance, and reliability.
  • Participate in Agile execution while clearly communicating technical findings, recommendations, and solution impacts to technical teams and government stakeholders, building trust through consistent delivery and technical excellence.
