About The Position
The Sr. CAD Designer position is primarily focused on providing CAD CAFM support and supervision. This role involves managing the processes related to the provision of services that pertain to the feasibilities or standards of the business as required. The designer will oversee the processing, documentation, and tracking of exercises related to the application of standards, exterior design, and signage. A key aspect of this role is to leverage industry knowledge, market insights, and client expectations to drive value engineering and innovation in design solutions. In this position, the designer will interface directly with clients to develop design solutions that meet their needs. This includes administering reviews and seeking client approvals for all new projects or initiatives. The designer will also be responsible for preparing preliminary plans and budgets, ensuring that all stakeholders, including Project Managers (PMs) and Team Managers (TMs), are kept informed about the rationale and status of all applicable standards. Additionally, the Sr. CAD Designer will prepare presentations and training materials for the Project Management team and clients, coordinating closely with design service providers to ensure that deliverables are accurate and meet client expectations. The role requires a thorough understanding of building components and disciplines, as well as the ability to create stacking and blocking plans and space plans. The designer will also provide expertise in reviewing deliverables from third-party suppliers and will play a strategic role in the change process by innovating, applying, and educating on design services. Overall, this position is integral to adding value to the client's use of design services and responding to their inquiries with insightful design solutions.
