About The Position
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individuals to join as an Sr. Buyer - Electronics at our Kokomo Technical Center (KTC) in Kokomo, Indiana or our Propulsion Technical Centre in Auburn Hills, Michigan. In this role, and under direct supervision of the Global Commodity Manager, the Sr. Buyer will be primarily responsible for the negotiation of new electronic components in close cooperation with development. For assigned projects, the Sr. Buyer will be responsible to support in analysing and negotiating the BOM cost of electronic products in alignment with the commodity management. The Sr. Buyer will be fully responsible for monitoring the market finding new manufacturers and select together with development the right strategies to leverage BorgWarner's collective purchasing power and maximize synergistic opportunities to optimize supplier performance, reduced total supply costs while meeting our technology expectations throughout the supply chain.
