About The Position

Under direct supervision from the Indirect Purchasing Manager, the position involves procuring MRO (maintenance, repair, and operating) supplies, materials, equipment, and services. The role requires processing purchase orders via requisitions with appropriate functional and financial approvals, ensuring compliance with internal controls.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years MRO/Materials management purchasing experience.
• Experience and understanding of the Materials management program/Kanban, etc.
• Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of purchasing and a basic understanding of the materials and supply chain management functions.
• Ability to manage the entire order to payment process.
• Experience in SAP.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to forge internal customer and external supplier relationships.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks successfully.
• Ability to comply with existing/quickly adapt to new processes within the organization.
• Service and results oriented.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate bids, analysis, and negotiations for goods and services.
• Accurate and timely processing of all purchase orders according to ISI standard process.
• Manage the day-to-day business relationship with key suppliers through supporting activities, including ordering, communicating demand/volume/delivery time changes, resolving issues, sharing end-user feedback, following up on backorders, etc.
• Develop a strong understanding and knowledge of suppliers and capabilities.
• Assist with contract development and execution.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of goods and services that meet the quality, service, and price performance standards of the company.
• Identify, prioritize, and impact key business opportunities.
• Work closely with other departments to expedite receiving and Purchase Requisition processes.
