About The Position

This position reports to the Senior Manager of the Soybean Complex and provides support focused on soybean meal procurement and logistics. Key responsibilities include: Procurement & Supply Management: Purchase physical soybean meal for delivery to Tyson feed mills; manage the purchase-to-pay process for assigned regions; contract with vendors for truck and rail delivery; secure forward supplies for spot deliveries; and manage inventory levels at assigned feed mills. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal commodity buyers, nutritionists, feed mill operations and management, ingredient suppliers and brokers, and freight vendors. Logistics Coordination: Oversee daily logistics for trucks and railcars to and from assigned feed mills; negotiate annual and bi-annual freight contracts with primary vendors. Market Analysis & Reporting: Develop and maintain weekly reporting analytics, including P&L performance, market pricing, and forecasts; analyze market data to communicate trends and dynamics to stakeholders. The role requires a strong understanding of soybean meal procurement, logistics management, and market dynamics, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Agriculture, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 1 to 3+ years of experience in purchasing, merchandising, supply chain, logistics, or risk management, with demonstrated ownership of physical execution and supplier relationships
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to work effectively across multiple systems and shared files to manage contracts, inventories, and reports accurately
• Demonstrates solid analytical judgment and execution ownership, with the ability to connect market data, systems, and operational needs to support sound decisions
• Effectively prioritizes work, contributes to process improvements, and collaborates cross‑functionally well across teams

• Experience with Outlook, SAP, and Endur is preferred but not required
