Requirements

  • Requires BS Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Considerable experience in accounting and financial practices within software development.
  • Knowledge of GAAP standards as they relate to system design is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • An understanding of the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of standard features and functions of multiple applications/modules to field, analyze and resolve customer issues/problems.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Identifies problems, researches alternatives, prepares presentations, drives solutions, tests to confirm, gains consensus, and implements solutions for multiple applications within multiple functions.
  • Strong working knowledge of Data Analysis and/or relational databases.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial system integrations and supporting technologies.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience with Stripe payment platform, Great Plains/ Microsoft Dynamics Finance, or Business Central and/or other similar financial software.
  • Typically have 4-7 years of directly related experience.
  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define business processes and system alignment.
  • Translate business requirements into system definitions and solutions.
  • Act as a strategic partner and liaison between the user community, specifically finance and accounting, and the technical applications development staff.
  • Resolve system problems to ensure customer processes run smoothly.
  • Document financial business processes, training procedures, standard operating procedures, project status, etc.
  • Implement system alignment with business and financial processes.
  • Utilize financial acumen and experience with financial software, databases and reporting tools to develop effective solutions.
  • Identify business system requirements and related business/application solutions over a complete business process.
  • Develop new customizations and integrations with design, documentation, testing and training.
  • Execute various types of tests (unit, integration, functional, exploratory, etc.) to verify the functionality, performance, and usability of the product.
  • Conduct business process evaluations to gain technical knowledge of business requirements.
  • Write and maintain system documentation.
