About The Position

Senior Business Process Consultant provides leadership for all process-level improvements within a system within Alliant Energy operations. Provides expertise for the on-going performance management and sustainment of processes within Systems, and in support of strategic plans and organizational objectives. Works with the process users and owners to execute on the improvement strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related area.
  • 7 years of professional experience in Operations or related experience.
  • 3 years of experience in stakeholder engagement and managing internal partnerships.
  • 3 years of experience in change management or process management/improvement implementation.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Solid working knowledge of electric, gas or steam operating practices, construction standards, work methods, equipment, maintenance practices, regulatory compliance and materials.
  • Demonstrated experience working with labor union management.
  • Knowledge of safety rules and applicable electric codes and DOT/PHMSA regulations.
  • Experience of business process improvement and Perigon methodology.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and quick response to new issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership for all process-level improvements across Alliant Energy Operations.
  • Provides expertise for the mapping, definition, deployment, and on-going performance management and sustainment of processes within systems.
  • Engages with and provides critical support and content to process users, key stakeholders, managers, and employees to define and deploy standardized processes.
  • Ensures effective relationships, support, and communication channels with process and systems owners.
  • Provides guidance, deliverables, and key content to ensure process users have what they need to sustain and improve performance.
  • Provides training for the Perigon methodology of process management and improvement.
  • Establishes document controls necessary to support process management and improvement, employee development, and compliance audits.
  • Leads on the assessment of process performance, driving analytics to inform decision making.
  • Provides change management guidance and support to process users and managers engaged in process improvement initiatives.
  • Engages in other duties as needed that support Alliant Energy's Values.
