We are looking for a Senior Business Manager to run CISO Operations within Microsoft Security. This role supports the Cybersecurity Engineering organization by driving operational excellence, enabling strategic initiatives, and ensuring alignment across business priorities. The Business Manager partners closely with engineering leaders to manage rhythm-of-business activities, headcount planning, budget oversight, communications, and cross-team coordination. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

  • Proven track record of designing and delivering impactful and engaging programs and initiatives that educate, inform, and influence the global customer community on security matters.
  • Prior experience in Human Resources or People Operations, with demonstrated ability to apply HR principles, policies, and people practices in complex organizational environments.

Responsibilities

  • You will drive business direction for the leadership team, as well as develop and carry out the rhythm of business (ROB). You’ll also execute business plans to ensure continuous operations in both normal and adverse conditions.
  • You will collaborate with stakeholders and teams to oversee the creation and implementation of strategy execution plans, while ensuring alignment across groups. You will also leverage organizational strategy knowledge to design upcoming budgets.
  • You will provide leadership support by ensuring business activities are aligned with their goals. This will involve leveraging key partnerships to drive leadership agenda and give strategic advice, and supporting one or more key business management areas.
  • You will monitor organizational health, respond to team culture issues, and lead cultural initiatives. This will involve planning and executing trainings, ensuring a healthy compliance scorecard, and identifying team strengths and development areas.
  • You will drive cross-team projects as needed to meet changing business requirements and manage complex business needs. You also may act as a project manager to ensure organization-wide implementation of strategic efforts.
  • Lead and support business operations across cybersecurity engineering teams, including finance, recruiting, and culture initiatives
  • Facilitate communications and reporting for executive stakeholders, including updates on performance, risks, and organizational health
