About The Position

Global Pricing leads the development and execution of pricing policy strategy for Discover Network (DN) and Diner's Club International (DCI) payment networks. Network pricing policy serves as the driver for network revenue and topline growth at Global Payment Network (GPN). The Global Pricing team partners with GPN's external-facing teams to evaluate market pricing (interchange and network fees), review voice of customer feedback, and develop pricing rules, rates, and fees that are benchmarked to competitors. With this benchmarked approach in mind, pricing considers DGN products, technological capabilities, market perception, and industry news to develop and maintain a cohesive pricing strategy. Additionally, the pricing team supports the end-to-end implementation of pricing policy and the consistent evaluation of the required pricing infrastructure. The pricing team strives for operational excellence, pricing integrity, and flawless execution. This role will focus on the enhancement of pricing infrastructure and the pricing control environment. Role will take an analytical approach to ensuring operational excellence across pricing execution and support the development of innovation solutions to complex systematic changes. The role will support the large-scale strategic transformation projects within the pricing system infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering).
  • At least 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis.
  • At least 2 years of experience in qualitative analysis.
  • At least 1 year of experience in people management.
  • At least 1 year of experience in project management.

  • Master's Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One.
  • Have an ownership mindset, and potentially P&L accountability for a business segment.
  • Strategic planning with a 1-6 month horizon.
  • Manage and develop a team of analysts.
  • Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products.
  • Lead direct to consumer marketing efforts for select products.
  • Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior.
  • Coordinate across the line of business to manage and sequence delivery of business intent.
  • Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others.
