Expected salary range of $126,000 to $140,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k). Location This is a territory-based field sales role supporting clients in Illinois. This role offers the flexibility to work from home, but candidates must reside within Illinois. This position requires travel, locally within the geographic territory. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Travel expenses, including mileage, are covered by Constellation’s standard travel policy. Primary Purpose of Position This senior level sales professional should have existing relationships with senior level decision makers with major corporations. This individual will be responsible for acquiring new business and implementing energy strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or 12 years of experience in lieu of the degree
  • Experience and contacts in the respective marketplace
  • Experience presenting and closing high-level Fortune 500 customers transactions
  • Organization and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products

Nice To Haves

  • Business to business sales experience
  • Energy sales experience in electric, nuclear, and gas commodity, demand response, solar and energy efficiency products, highly preferred
  • Sales experience within the state of Illinois
  • Strong ability to generate leads and develop new business prospects
  • Experience meeting and exceeding sales metrics and KPI's
  • Passion for sales and the drive to succeed in a sales role

Responsibilities

  • Ability to identify, prospect and contact high-level decision makers in respective businesses and cultivate client relationships.
  • Cultivate customer relationships with respective Fortune 500 companies.
  • Understand customers business objectives, price risk tolerances and work with internal resources to develop energy hedging strategies that match the customer's needs.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to speak in front of groups and key decision makers.
  • Travel required as necessary to meet business needs
  • In-person attendance for training, all-hands meetings, and other meaningful engagements
  • Develop energy plans and strategies for Fortune 500 companies, prepare presentations and close sales transactions.
